Yes, but I develop for the Oracle DB, not FMP. That solution doesn't work for me. But it's a great creative solution for FMP...

I develop in WiTango, on Mac OS X, and with FileMaker 6.

Differences between you and I are that my servers are all G4/5 and I'm using
WebStar.

The WebStar/Witango/FMP are all on the server. I do development on an Intel Mac by sharing the FMP database and making local reference to it in the Witango dev studio. Then when I save to the server the local reference still
works.

One thing to make sure of when you are setting a datasource is that you
click 'Set deployment data source' set the 'Deployment datasource' to
'Specify' and then tick the 'Same as development' check box.
