I assume you refer to 'midori' (based on webkit) ?

There is no way for a web application to maximize the browser window
that I know of.

I think you should be able to start midori so that it assumes a full
screen mode (depending on if you have a window manager or are
rendering directly to a frame buffer), but we have no particular
experience with that browser. If that fails, it should not be too hard
to add this feature to midori ?
