Yes I do.

In fact this was one of the first things I looked for when I started playing
with Wt.
However I haven't seen many toolkits which allow trees to grow from right to
left.
like the example presented above.

I'm afraid I do not have a screenshot of top-to-bottom or bottom-to-top
trees;
I have personally never seen them implemented.

But consider the Wt treeview example:

In the case that there are very many columns to be presented to the user,
I would like to use a vertically growing tree to collapse/expand columns
in the same way that I can currently collapse/expand rows using a
horizontally growing tree.

It also seems quite natural to be able to place the tree used for collapsing
columns
above or below the table of cells. No?

It is this type of flexibility that I am seeking; I can't imagine that I am
the only one who would
find flexibility useful.
