I removed my old version of Wt, obtained from Git (http://www.webtoolkit.eu/git/wt.git ), and re-cloned it, rebuilt it, and reinstalled it. Everything in / usr/local/include/Wt and in /usr/local/lib/libwt* has been freshly built.
gcc -v reports gcc version 4.0.1 I cleaned and rebuilt dialogDemo. I start dialogdemo with the command: ./dialogdemo --docroot=. --http-address=`hostname` --http-port=8099 As before, 1) open a new window in Safari 4.0.3 (I'm running Mac OS 10.5.8) 2) open the URL http://<your host name>:8099/ 3) click the 'edit' button near the bottom of the application window (next to the "Show" button) 4) Grab the resize control at the lower right edge of the Safari window. 5) Make the window as small as possible (vertically) 6) Resize the window to maximum height. Repeat steps 5 and 6 - three or four times. the original application window does not grow, but the dialog window labeled 'Edit the PPI Parameters' grows to fill the entire browser window, and will eventually grow *larger* than the browser window. As I mentioned previously, Firefox 3.5.3 has the same issue, but the dialog window doesn't grow nearly as fast. There's a copy of dialogDemo.C on ftp://ftp.eol.ucar.edu/pub/temp/users/vanandel/dialogDemo.C I've also placed a copy of 'everywidget.css' in the same FTP directory, since dialogDemo.C uses it. I'm not putting my copy of Wt on a public site, since a newly cloned version from Git acts just the same way. Thanks much for looking into this!
