Feel free to compile boost, any version > 1.35 (including 1.40) should
work fine. The reason I recommend using the binaries is to avoid
support questions for the boost compilation process :) If you compile
boost yourself, make sure you compile the library in all the flavors
you need (static, dll, versions for MT, MTd, MD, MDd, ...).
