I have not seen a significant increase in build speed, and 3.5 hours
is definately too much. Adding zlib and openssl should not slow down
your build. ALL_BUILD is not new, it has always been there (cmake
creates it automatically).
But what I do know, is that if you build a WT DLL instead of the
default static lib, that the linking of your examples will be much
faster. I didn't make dll building the default because it makes
executing the examples less convenient; you must make sure that wt's
dll files are in your PATH then.
