Streaming it to clients would be my use of the thing, however, i believe it
would be useful to store it as well. (IE, leave voice comments or something)

I'm still not sold on the concept of putting all our eggs in the "flash"
basket.  At this time, flash doesn't work too well on mobile devices (drains
battery), and it also isn't available on many mobile devices.  I think that
should be an important consideration moving forward.

I suppose I was hoping for someone to come out of the woodwork with a better
proposal, maybe using java or something more standards-based?  I suppose I
need to do some research on what java might be able to offer in the way of
access to the local audio interface.  There has got to be a good way to do
this that doesn't require so much baggage.
