Thanks for looking into the matter. I know it's been a while, but I finally finished with school and had a chance to come back to this piece of mail. The motivation I see for GPLv3 is compatibility with other GPLv3 code, and AGPL code. Would GPLv2+, as illustrated below, suit everyone's interest? "This program is free software: you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation, either version 2 of the License, or (at your option) any later version."
