Summary: CopyFile action causes XML edit failiure

Initial Comment:
I was trying to copy an external file, before XML
editing it. The XML CustomAction appears to collide
with the file copy, despite being on separate
sequences.
Maybe if the MSI was InstallingFiles, it would have
enough time, but its not (Always).
Action Sequence
MoveFiles 3800
InstallFiles 4000
WiXCA's 4001

XmlFile will fail to edit if the target file does not exist. If your MSI
is not installing the file, then the the file must exist on the machine in
order for the custom action to succeed.

If your scenario is different, please provide verbose MSI log files and
reactivate.

Rob, The file was being copied (for backup purporses). It
is large and complex, and there are 72 xml edits. No node
creations just edits. When the copy file action was
removed, the editing succeeded.
No Registry editing or file deployment was going on at the
time, so the msi would have gone straight from "movefiles"
to "SchedXmlFile" (I think).

Martin, can you provide more information about what file
you are using XmlFile to modify? Is it a file being
copied or moved?
