A while back I had submitted some changes for enhancing instance transforms
within Wix.

fixes for SF features 3223373, 3434688.
My pass at allowing * for Instance/@ProductCode and allow specifying
Instance/@UpgradeCode.
I was recently asked to rebase this change set to 3.8, and was wondering if
there would be support/acceptance for adding these features. I personally have
gone away from using instance transforms, but if others would find value in
these features the rebase would be trivial. Rob/Bob, maybe you could comment
on what new problems this could introduce and if you think there would be any
use in having these changes in the Wix core.
