Well, I'll totally take blame for not getting though pull requests fast enough.
I've spent too much time last few weeks trying to get the stupid whitespace
issue sorted out that I got behind on other work. Then when we basically
decided that we should move to Github, I've spent more time on that thought
process than tending to pull requests.
That's on me.
Fundamentally, Bob and I are still finding a rhythm here. He mentioned last
week that not having a meeting was a bit weird so we're getting there on a
number of fronts. I think pull requests are the highest priority thing to get
sorted next.
We'll definitely get through the backlog *very* soon since we'll be moving to
Github soon after that.

Creating official builds more often only helps for pull requests that have been
merged. 2 of my 4 pull requests are waiting to be accepted and merged. I
haven't been pushing on these to be looked at because I can just build it
myself. I would like for pull requests to be handled faster, but I understand
that everyone's busy and has other things to do.

I forgot to mention that as long as it's that easy to bypass the requirements
of OFFICIAL_WIX_BUILD, I don't mind that this isn't incorporated into the

Yesterday, I sent a pull

to add the UNOFFICIAL_WIX_BUILD property. This allowed the ability to compile
WiX such that the build can be used on other machines, while skipping the
requirements of OFFICIAL_WIX_BUILD. Rob declined it, so I thought I would
explain why I need to create my own build that can be used on other machines.
I am getting ready to release an installer with an MBA that relies on the 4
pull requests that I have submitted against wix39. Like all MBA's, it
references BootstrapperCore.dll. This means that if I build my installer
without an official build, then the installer can only run on the build machine.
There's two different ways to solve this problem. One is to address the
problems created by strong naming BootstrapperCore.dll, which is what my pull
request was trying to do.
The other is to incorporate my changes into an official build. Since we're all
volunteers, I don't see this as a valid solution.
