Do something like this:
<Directory Id="TARGETDIR" Name="SourceDir">
<Directory Id="ProgramFilesFolder">
<Directory Id="ROOTDIR" Name="MyCompany">
<Directory Id="MyProductDir" Name="MyProduct">
ROOTDIR, can be changed by the user, and the subfolders will always be
appended. MyProductDir is not public so it cannot be changed externally.
