hello,
WPrefs.app/tiff/README:
"All other graphics are copyright 1998,1999 by Marco van Hylckama Vlieg
([email protected])
And have the following license:
These icons are NOT GPL. You are not allowed to use these icons
for anything except WPrefs.app. It's also prohibited to
redistribute this set apart from the WindowMaker source tree."
this means that every single way you can obtain a wm binary that
contains these icons is in violation of this license. (the intent is
probably was not that originally, but that completely doesn't matter.)
COMPLETELY contrary to this, the top-level readme states this:
"The icons that are distributed with this program and were made by
Marco van Hylckama Vlieg, are licensed through the GNU General Public
License. Read the COPYING file for the complete license."
someone needs to track this guy down and ask for a formal
clarification, otherwise, i believe the tiffs must go. now, given that
that would make wprefs largely unusable, maybe tracking him down would
be more beneficial to all :)
