What would you say is the general direction of WindowMaker in terms of
this forked development.
If you like, I would love to see a list of things that are improved over
the existing version in two sections:

* windowmaker-0.94.0

What do you think about doing this as the first step and rename wmaker-crm to windowmaker-0.94.0? Carlos?

The way I see it this will allow distributions to put this version in the development phase, get some users to quickly test it and make it the official in a month or two.

If anything breaks, it is easier for package managers to downgrade to whatever they have working on their distributions.

I don't like the idea of having to deal with different packages names in a Linux distribution: windowmaker, wmaker-crm, etc. This makes an unexperienced user gets dizzy easily.

Another thing I disagree with is the idea of adding dockapps to the windowmaker package. Distros could use a meta-package windowmaker-base or something that includes windowmaker, some dockapps, some themes, some distro-specific configs, etc.

PS: sorry Jason for replying to you.

Don't worry, makes me feel important. :รพ
As for the recommendation, I kind of agree, but it's a steep learning curve to get going with windowmaker. Perhaps we could make some docs on the wiki talking about the many cool tricks in windowmaker. (Like customising the menu)
