Hi Carlos,

In an ideal world, yes, the Changelog could have been updated.
I'm not looking far an "ideal" world.

But I personally don't care enough about the Changelog to do
something about it nor will I start enforcing it to be updated
when patches are made.
I do not intend that you take care about "updateing ChangeLog" on any patch,
but just before a "New" tag is created.

I use 'git log' and I try hard to convince people to write good
commit messages because I want 'git log' to be informative and
also a teaching experience. That's the part I care about.
I'm a packager with SuSE, and as a packager you "package" ChangeLog in the hope it is up2date. And the "User" who uses this package wants to look into ChangeLog and not going to review a "git-log". And be sure most user really don't know how to review "git-log" if they are able to find the git-repo.

If there are people who think the Changelog is important, they
can simply write a patch updating it to have the information they
think it should contain and I'll merge it.
Sorry, but this sounds a bit like ignorance.
We maintained it in the past, but no we don't link it anymore.

That's how open source works :-)
just as I said, it is not needed on any patch created, but updated just before creating a TAG or Release.

Cheers
