Hello,

I'd like to announce an updated version of the WMMon dockapp is
available for testing. It's part of the dockapps repository at

        git://repo.or.cz/dockapps.git

Extensive fixes to the I/O monitoring system have been applied. Procfs
interfaces on Linux have been in flux over the last several years, and
the interface for disk I/O statistics has changed, breaking old
versions of wmmon completely. In addition to the changes in /proc, the
original release of wmmon contained several issues with graph and
meter scaling. Essentially, the longer you ran the app, the less
information it would report. I believe I have addressed these issues.

In the near future, I will look into applying the various patches
from Linux distro's and the BSD's. Some of these patches are feature
enhancements, and others should help with cross-platform compatibility.

Also on my TODO list is cross-platform testing. I realise this app
was originally intended to be Linux-only, but it has been ported to
several other OS's, so I see no reason why we can't merge the
portability patches in upstream.

When these items are done, I intend to add optional user-defined
color schemes.

If anyone has any feedback or bug reports, feel free to contact me.
I have no idea how many people are using wmmon these days, so the amount
of time I spend on new features will depend on how much interest there
is.

Thanks,
-Barry Kelly
