I think that removing "Microsoft" fonts should not be a goal by itself.

What convinced me about the patches removing Trebuchet MS is that if
they are present then you have no control anymore, whereas setting the
default font to a generic "sans serif" at least gives you a chance
in influencing the choice.

I guess it could be edited by hand.

Thanks for pointing it out. I think they escaped my attention somehow,
my bad. The patches are OK, but they no longer apply.
