If you are using a current git version of Window Maker, you can launch
WPrefs by clicking on the GNUstep icon. If you are using an older
version, a WPrefs icon is created by default in the dock.

Run "wmaker.inst" under you user name (not root) when Window Maker is
not running. You should type Ctrl-C when it ask you the question:

since you already have Window Maker running under X. This will create a
set of directories and copy some files to your ~/GNUstep directory.
