Y'all are making it too complicated. I have a simple entry in my pull
down menu which executes:
sudo init 0
I have to issue my user password to shut it down. So were I to
accidentally invoke shutdown from the menu, I have a simple way to back
out.
I'm all for clever code, but a lazy sysadmin is a good sysadmin... :-)
