Did you set the App to ignore the client supplied icon? You can set this by right clicking on the App's titlebar and selecting Attributes..., the setting is under "Icon and Initial Workspace" I have noticed on occasion that sometimes the Window Specification is different than the main app, so I had to add an entry to WMWindowAttributes manually.
