I don't see how this is a problem. X11 usually just dies with my shutdown script. Otherwise, I could easilly kill it with Ctrl+Alt+Backspace, or I could ^C xinit on the term that I started it on. For people who use crazy Xsession type things, the kill sequence and shutdown script will still work.
