What people often don't understand is that a beautiful desktop is not one full of colours, crazy forms or top-less girls, but that is perfect from a usability POV. It has nice, eye-pleasing colours and contrasts where needed, a sleek design and does not deflect you from what you really want to do on your box. Remember: Neither is an ugly desktop usable, nor is a usable desktop ugly. But an unusable desktop is /always/ ugly! ;) Greetings, Denis PS: composite extension's transparency (the real one of those four sorts ;) can be used very good with wmii I suppose. On the wm's side there's not much to do besides handling the right hints. The rest can be done with the right command-line tools and the 9p-filesystem. I think. Didn't investigate that much. PPS: /can/ transparency add to usability?
