Guys, please, stop doing drugs and go learn to use acme to begin with, grab boxes and tag bars should solve about 70% of the current problems with columns.
Xinerama support should work just like now, except that you have two views current at the same time, one in each screen. I suspect this will need some trickery, specially to preserve geometry across views if the screen resolutions are different.
