If you haven't watched Rich's video link to the Rocky Mountain News demise, I'll put it out again here: http://www.rockymountainnews.com/
I have a friend (and source) at the Rocky who has kept me informed about the paper's impending demise since Scripps announced it would be sold or closed all the way back in oh January. The announcement this week that the SF Chronicle would either be sold or closed mirrors the Rocky announcment, save for that the Chronicle has already outlasted its Joint Operating Agreement conjoined twin, the old Examiner. Now, the Anschutz group in Denver has free "Examiner" papers in several cities including San Francisco, but it just ain't the same. I always thought it was odd that the SF Chronicle is doing a series celebrating its history during its, uh. 144th anniversary. If Dennis still reads the Chron, he can vouch. I immediately questioned if the Comical was expecting to not last till at least its 145th. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "World News Now Discussion List" group.
