Gosh, my regular laundromat where I sort of knew people from going to it for 25 years closed down two years ago, cause of increasing rents (they tried to triple it); it became a gentrified thing called "Zen Day Spa" (I am not kidding). If anybody at the former laundry was compulsive and/or obsessive, it probably was I (I always try never to be more than one of the two at any given time). Now I go a couple extra blocks to the local equivalent of a big box store of laundry .... not a chain but so many machines and they all seem to work ... not so cheap as they were in the former Day Spa though. I don't know anybody there or ever see the same laundroiders, but once did meet a nice young interracial couple who came here from Alabama (Auburn) in order to pass on the word about Jesus. They said they were not yet able to bring themselves to ride city buses. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "World News Now Discussion List" group.
