Amtrak IS a train.

Unfortunately, they got rid of distinct train names in the Northeast
Corridor some years ago, so everything is either "Acela" or "Northeast
Regional."

One can also take the train between Philadelphia and New York by using two
different commuter railroads, and so I suggested last night on Twitter: 
"The SEPTA To Trenton Then Go Upstairs And Back Down For NJ Transit To
Penn Station Series."  Several people retweeted it, so that makes it
official!  Hard to fit in a New York Post headline, though, I'll admit.
