The Wiki article is basically right on its face, regarding TBS and "Peachtree TV".

The Canadian regulatory folks only allow what used to be the broadcast/superstation WTBS, which now WPCH-TV, to be imported into Canadian cable systems. When TBS completed its migration off the broadcast signal, it didn't (and still doesn't) have Canadian clearance.

So, what's essentially now an Atlanta market local TV station is still seen across the Canadian pay TV spectrum.

That said, this is right as well, according to various reports I've read:

I think it's a pretty safe bet that some Canadian network will pick up
Conan's new show.

Word in the Canadian press (not the Canadian Press) is that Canadian rights to Conan's show are up for grabs. Peachtree/WPCH will not be running the show, either in Atlanta or Canada.

More here from Canwest News Service's Alex Strachan:

"As for potential Canadian broadcasters, it's possible that either Rogers Media/Citytv or CTV could put in a bid. CTV could potentially assign the program to its subsidiary Comedy Network, and pair it with The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.

Global TV would seem less likely to buy it, as the show's 11 p.m. broadcast time conflicts with Global's local newscasts."

So, the upshot is that if there WAS a TBS on Canadian cable/satellite, Conan's show would presumably (my guess) run as is, since it is an in-house production. But I bet TBS is happier getting some coin from north of the border to help pay for Conan, perhaps a bunch of Toonies...
