The three semifinalists with the highest winning totals will appear in the finals. The fourth will be saved for a forthcoming "Second Chance Tournament," for which they will also invite the best/most memorable contestants from the past season who didn't make it into the Tournament of Champions.
The "Super Jeopardy!" tournament that aired on ABC in the summer of 1990 had four contestants in each of the quarterfinal matches.
