Sriram,

I'd like John to coordinate the work. There are a few areas that need
development:

1. Serialization of the object model into WSDL 2.0 XML.
2. Implementation of all the assertions.
3. Improvement of the W3C Test Suite to include test cases that violate
each assertion.

John/Lawrence/Athur,
Was there any M8 JIRA that you wanted me to work
on?

I've generated the Javadoc based on the tags present. It will be useful to
newcomers like me to have a userguide, however rudimentary. Also I did
notice that the code uses some deprecated methods. Do we plan to change
this?

Lawrence,

I have downloaded and built the Woden M7 code. Is there a
Javadoc for this that I can refer to while I get my way around the code?

Sriram,

Welcome to Woden! I think you've taken a good approach in picking a
project that aligns with your interests. As someone who's both developed
Web services and Web service tools (both with Apache Woden and Eclipse Web
Tools Platform project) I think you'll find building Woden is
significantly different from building Web services and should give you a
great deep understanding of WSDL 2.0.

John's already recommended some Jiras (bugs) for you to start working
with. However if you have something specific you want to work on feel free
to speak up and let the rest of the team know. And, post any questions to
woden-dev. As someone new to the project I think you're in a great
position to help us identify sources of documentation that need to be
improved or written.

Lawrence

Woden Project members,
This is Sriram. I would like to contribute to the development of the Woden
project.

A brief background about myself. I have been a Java Developer for the past

8
years in both a consulting and product development environments. My recent

roles have been in the management of IT projects. My areas of interest are

Web Services, Software testing tools.

I am new to Open Source. I have seen a few of my colleagues sign up for
what
they believe is an "interesting" Open Source project that have been far
from
their interests and seen their interests fade. I hope to avoid that by
choosing an active community working on a project of my interest. On my
current project, we are building a Web Service wrapper on a Enterprise
Java
app that WS-I Basic Profile compliant.

I hope to learn something new through the process of working with you
folks
and assisting you on the Woden project. I am on the Woden distro list and
I
have also sent an email to John Kaputin, expressing interest.

Regards,
           Sriram
