Few days before the Earthquke, I recommended Chengdu, Sichuan province, to someone as the better place to live and to thrive. Almost one year later I can have courage enough to say it again. I love that city. But also, down to earth, in my opinion, is one of the best places to thrive. If interested I can offer you some clues.
