Follow-up Comment #1, task #4035 (project wormux):

There's no weapon currently, but it's allready configurable in
data/game_mode/classic.xml:

<allow_character_selection>before_first_action_and_end_turn</allow_character_selection>
  <!-- either
'always','never','before_first_action','change_on_end_turn','before_first_action_and_end_turn'-->

I suppose it is interesting to add this option in game_menu :-)
