Follow-up Comment #4, patch #679 (project wormux):

Gave it a second try, i have kept the 2-range normal finder because it has
more accurate normals i think. (and it is not called often)
Mostly the purpose is to simplify the colision normal code, but i made some
of the colision code vector-based too. The vector-based code is probably
equivalent to the earlier angle-code, modulo round-offs.
It is a bit long, 500 lines, but $grep -c '-' second.patch gives 293 and
$grep -c '+' second.patch gives 205 so I think it saves code.
