instance, we could play with bazookas and grenads only, with automatic guns
only, etc.

A little like in the screenshot I've attached (taken from a PDA version of
Worms World Party).

Ok, now I understand. It won't be so easy, as it will need to be included in
network server setup too.
And I will be happy to see something like Scorch's market, where the player
have some cash (like $100 000) and he/she can buy weapons. It may result in
unbalanced inventory, however.

Is it a bug or new idea? Maybe we should create a task for it...?

Definitely, this is a task. Pawel, your idea is very interesting too, it was
a great feature of Scortch Earth.
