Follow-up Comment #2, bug #11547 (project wormux): I'm not yet sure how to handle this. Maybe we'll have to make some assumptions, like #ifdef __APPLE__ then convert from ISO latin (or use the system specific API to retrieve such info) to UTF-8 and #ifdef _WIN32, again use some APIs to convert to UTF-8.
