And then some more. There are some things that can be optimized (indeed the
skeletal animations seem to perform computations again and again just because
no context was used to save their result), but considering that Mikkov and I
have increase 2fold the speed on ARM devices, there's little left in Wormux
code to do except huge rewrites.
I'm therefore retrograding the bug severity and priority to updated values.
In particular, debug builds are rather playable, but valgrind is still
difficult.
There are also probably problems with the fps limiter (no vsynch support,
maybe incorrect deadlines).
btw, the problem with many characters slowing to a crawl the game is because
all of their animations have to be computed for proper network synch, despite
them not being displayed.
