I had the same idea. I'll upgrade the local install first and then one
of my online sites. Heck, I can fix anything that might break :D.

I have been noticing it myself. I am running a FIOS duplexed 30mbps
connection and it seems to take about 15 - 20 seconds. to load the page.
My
sites are located at DreamHost, which accounts for some of the speed
lapse,
but not that much. The front page loads pretty good -- and I am using
WP-Super Cache. It is just the admin pages that seem to drag a bit.
