The 1.0 releases (bbPress) should be compatible with 2.7.

developers of WordPress and bbPress) handled a lot of the
compatibility between WordPress and bbPress versions. Especially the
trunk versions of each. I could be wrong though, I haven't kept up
with bbPress in a good while.
