I think it's a great idea. I really appreciate how the media section
of the program has improved and think there's room for more.
Ideally, I'd like to see the option to have selectable locations for
uploads, as in up-images, up-pdfs, up-flash, etc.... perhaps having
to "register" these to have them show up in the admin media settings
and in the uploader.
Maybe next version.

Hi there,
I updated the patch to the lastest trunk.
I didnt know 2.9 was already in feature freeze. When was that?
Where is this
kind of stuff discussed and announced (I mean, in a reasonable time
in
advance... I didnt do anyhting for almost a month, If I knew it
would go
into feature freeze I would certainly hurried up).
Anyways.. I also think it would be very cool to have this in 2.9,
since it
has to do with all improvements in image handling ... But if it
cant, ok...
But at least let me know if it can go into the trunk soon, because
its not
that easy to keep the patch updated..
cheers

New patch (3). Retroactive image reprocessing
Added the regenerate all thumbnails funcionality
1. I did without ajax (at least for the moment). When I finished
it I didnt
see so much the need for an ajax alternative
2. I created a function called wp_update_thumbs - I though it was
worth to
have it so we can use in other places in the code, such as in the
manage
media page, I think there could be there a button to regenerate
the thumbs
for each image. It could be a button for each image and a bulk
action
3. It patches the new "Edit Image" feature too
