I quickly scrubbed the list archives to find a thread on this issue, and hopefully a resolve, but found nothing on the subject, so I apologize in advance if I'm bringing up a ol' hashed out issue all over again.
First of all, my web host uses simplescripts.com to install WP. My latest WP install on a new domain indicated that v2.9.2 Stable would be installed, but what I got was the development version (3.0-beta1). First thing I did was clicked on the "stay updated" link in the lower right corner of the admin backend. A message advised "there is a new version of WordPress available for update," and I immediately opted to "update automatically." After updating, I installed a theme that added a sidebar configuration panel. Any of the settings options that I click on results with "you do not have sufficient permissions to access this page." I checked to make sure that my upgrade in fact completed, and surprisingly the system still indicates that "there is a new version of WordPress available for update." I suspect herein lies the problem? Except for accessing the dedicated theme options, everything else seems to be working fine. Can anyone give insight how to get past the permissions problem I'm experiencing? Thanks in advance! -- =Jeff _______________________________________________ wp-testers mailing list [email protected] http://lists.automattic.com/mailman/listinfo/wp-testers
