Unfortunately, there is no fix for it, any suggestions welcome.

A workaround would be to place this commands in a batch file (script.bat), and execute it.

Note that umlauts need to be DOS characters, i.e., you will have to edit the batch file in "edit" program from windows cmd.

You could also try if editing packages.xml from cmd with edit, and putting there DOS umlauts helps? Let us know.

Hmm, ok. I tried it with the batch file and it works, great.
I give the solution with the special characters a try, i will see.
