While looking something else (on this site : http://www.cgfiles.com/tutorials/unattended/index.html) I found this guy using a utility called WSNAME to manage the names of computers. Using a statement like this : wsname /RDF:"z:\SCRIPTS\compnames.txt" /DFK:$MAC and a text file looking like this : 0007E963EC42 = ANIM01 0007E9646643 = ANIM02 0013D4440A96 = DIGI01 You can ensure that each computer gets it's own unique name.
