Actually WPKG does not remember any profile assignment at all on the local
(client) side. The only data which it stores is within wpkg.xml and this only
contains the packages that are actually installed. The file neither contains
any host nor profile data. These data is evaluated on-the-fly during each
execution.

So I think your problem is somewhere else. So I guess there must be something
else wrong within your current setup.

In any case I will try to verify in which conditions this error could happen.
However I think it is not related to the removal of any profile or
host->profile assignment.

Are you sure the deleted profile is not referenced any more within any host
definition? This would be the case I would check first.
