Well, I am passive on the subject of hate of country. Certainly,
I hate things and certain attitudes and indecencies, but in these
same recent years, I hate certain people, too, and certain types,
even, something that never used to be in me to do. I get surly too
often and avoid people. I see country problems still being
pinned on the individual. I see people in the comfortable locations --
really where they would be supervisors of thought -- following minutest
rules as if they were more important than larger principles, for example,
not recommending people you know for hire = more important than
those people wind up homeless; the hurricanes bring refugeeism
up as if for the first time. It's a country problem based in conformity.
