This is not as true as it once was -- there is now a version of the Server 
Extensions available for Unix as well.  Even so, just as Greg says, your 
pages will not be as "portable" if your pages utilize any codes or 
constructs that are not standard HTML.  This can be very important if you 
have any doubts about whether you'll be continuing to use your current web 
hosting service.
