Len,
I contacted tech support last week and was told that there are multiple
OS390 issues with version 7. The majority of my users require connection to
an OS/390 V2R8 mainframe. I put off the upgrade to version 7 until a fix is
released. You can ask to be put on the notification list. I was told
version 6.7 is the latest version without the bugs.

PDS members

Hi,
This is my maiden post on this list, so perhaps this
topic has been covered. If so, I apologize. I am
running WS_FTP 7.02 on Win95. My host is OS/390 2.8
I can connect and list PDS members. When I try to
download with the green arrow icon from MVS, I get:
550 Data set 'pdsdsname.membername' not found
if the member name is 7 characters long or longer.
Or I get
501 Invalid data set name "A0600 ". Use MVS Dsname conventions.
if the member name is 6 characters long or shorter.
When I 'view' an MVS member with a name of 7 or more
characters, it downloads into my text editor for
viewing - no problem --only if-- the member has fewer
than 17 lines (80 byte lrecl).
If I 'view' any member with 7 or 8 characters that
contains 18 lines or more, the download progress box
hangs at 0%.
When I 'view' an MVS member with 6 or fewer characters,
and there are no ISPF stats for the member, I get (for
example):
501 Invalid data set name "APPCLU ". Use MVS Dsname conventions.
If the member (6 or fewers character name) has ISPF stats,
the 'view' hangs.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Len
