Friends.

Can someone suggest to me what to do, please?

I connect to the Internet via an internal V90 modem, on a Win2k Pro system.
I am using WS-FTPle v. 5.08.2000.02.23. Then I start WS-FTPle and connect to
a site to d-l a file of size 7 MB. The following happens every time:

After about 150 to 200 KB of receiving the file, the sending "monitor" (icon
on the task bar right down) turns black, only the receiving one keeps
shining green. But at the same moment the file that I am receiving does stop
getting bigger, and the amount of errors in the transmission jumps from 0 to
about 10 or 15 in a few seconds. Then both "monitors" turn black. And then
they just stay black, no more receiving nor sending stuff. I have to cancel
the d-l and exit the program and start all over again. But after 150 to 200
KB of stuff then there is the same error again!

I am not sure how to see what the error really is. I have tried to lower the
buffer sizes in the modem (now it is set to 0) and the Max port speed (now
at 57000), but there is no change whatsoever.

I am confused, as this error does not happen with other sites I use. AND it
also happens if I connect to this site using IE5.5! So maybe it is not
related to WS-FTP at all, but I am not sure where I should ask for help. The
people who run the server I am connecting to do not have any suggestions
either. :-(

Grateful for help
Carl
