Daf,

Last July I purchased the upgrade to 7.0 with the expectation of even
better performance from WS_FTP.  Instead, I experienced the same
horrible degradation you report below.  I called the Ipswitch staff but
they feigned total surprise and lack of concern when I related my
experience.  I reinstalled the older version.

Will continue monitoring this forum in the hopes of seeing a future
announcement that shows how the new 7.xx version is faster on all fronts
than the 6.5 or 6.7 versions. 

Disappointed that Ipswitch would allow this to happen without taking
steps to correct it.
