Hi, I have spent several hours trying to follow the KnowlegeBase article, "WS_FTP - FTP Sync Exclusions Explained" at http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/WS-20000608-DM01.htm yet I just can't get this utility to work properly.
Can someone enlighten me about how to write an exclusion string? I can't seem to make any sense of the above mentioned article. What would really help is to have it explained thoroughly - just having a few examples does not seem to be enough to allow me to use exclusions correctly. Questions about exclusions: 1) What is the meaning of a forward slash / vs. a backwards slash \ ? 2) What is it that makes an absolute exclusion? 3) What is it that makes a relative exclusion? 4) As a simple starter, I try to exclude all of the many directories named "_notes" by writing the exclusion this way: _notes\ but when doing a local-to-remote synch, all the newer contents of my "_notes" directories do get transferred.
