I am using WS_FTP Pro v.6.05. Every month I must transfer hundreds of customer files from an AIX UNIX host onto folders on my local network. Based on the report name, I must download it into the appropriate customer folder. For example - If the report name is CustomerA.Monthly.Bill I must transfer the file into a folder named CustomerA. If the report name is CustomerB.Checks I must transfer the file into the CustomerB folder.
Since all customer reports begin with the customer name and are listed together, I can easily select all reports for that customer and then select the appropriate folder and transfer. However, this process takes a lot of time because I must continuously select and transfer. Is there any way to setup a routine which tells WS_FTP to look at the beginning of the file name, match it to the appropriate folder, and perform the transfer automatically? Or is there anything that could be done to make this process more efficient? Appreciate any help. Thanks.
