I hope somebody has an idea on this one; I am stumped.
We designed an application around the FTP server and tested it while it was still inside our network. We have now moved it to a DMZ, in preparation for making available from the internet, but now my FTP logon doesn't work. I am able to connect. I get the USER and PASSWORD prompts. After replying to the prompts, I get a message that says my logon/password is bad. I went into WS-FTP ADMIN program and reset the password but it didn't help.
I also am not getting the banner display when I connect. Could this be going out on a strange port # or ? The only way I have gotten it to work is by using TERMINAL SERVICES to logon to the box, and then doing 'FTP LOCALHOST'. I then get the banner and my logon works.
Any useful instructions are appreciated.
